The 537th meeting Report

2012.10.06

The 537th regular meeting was held at Hatoba kaikan, our home ground.
Today, I was confused because ten guests came to YTMC!!! That’s unbelievable! So the meeting was very exciting and enjoyable.

The meeting theme was “Autumn festival”.
In Japan, There are expressions called “Autumn for Reading, Autumn for Eating, Autumn for Sports.”
So there are many events in autumn season. Many members told about event related to Autumn for Eating.

In addition, we had Speech marathon! There were six speakers in this meeting.
Each speech was different theme and project.
That’s why audiences listened to various speech and learned many useful things.

I realized that joining many guests leads to increase member’s motivation!
Please join us easily! And let’s learn presentation skill and leadership skill together!

We are looking forward to seeing many guests.

The 534th meeting report was held during Obon holiday. But many members joined the meeting!

Today, there was a special speech. The program title was “Problem-Solving Discussion”.
Speech time was 45-50 min! Very Very Long!
TM Y.K took a facilitator. And the theme of discussion was “Be more attractive TMC”. 
We discussed how every meeting becomes more active. 

The discussion was exciting, and there were many ideas to solve this problem.
During the discussion, I noticed it is important to contact with inactive members.

So, I’ll do that, and I’ll update this website more to inform atmosphere of every meeting to them!

‘Time management is very important!’

The 533 th meeting was adjourned by president message. Today there were five prepared speakers. So time table was very tight.

But five speeches were very exciting! There were various theme, for example African journey, Love!, Words and so on.
In addition, evaluation session was also exciting. All evaluators performed good time management, except for one.
This is…. PRESIDENT! It was overrun of only 3 seconds. But Toastmasters rule is very severe!
It was disqualified even just three seconds.

Time management is very important in Toastmasters club.
All member’s cooperation leads to close the meeting on time.
Let’s try to close the meeting at just 4 PM!

TMOD and Winners of each session

Summer has come. It was very hot. But YTMC meeting was hotter than summer!

Today, a special guest joined the meeting. Mr. O was former YTMC member.
He involved chartering YTMC 24 years ago. He was glad YTMC continue even now.
He was assigned Tale topic speaker, and got the best table topic speaker! Great!!

After that, we went to Chinese restaurant. YTMC members have used this restaurant since YTMC started.
It means 24 years! Wow!!

A woman of Chinese restaurant said ‘Dumplings are Chinese croissants. So at first, you should eat it without source.’
Let’s try it!

The 531th regular meeting was held in Tanabata.
It was the first time since officers changed.

In addition, we had new member’s induction ceremony.
Mr. T became a new member. Congratulations! Let’s enjoy every meeting together.

However…

We never meet without a parting.
TM M.F and TM T.K leave from YTMC. I’ll really miss them.
But they got the best prepared speaker and the best table topic speaker.
It was Wonderful! They brought their speeches to successful conclusion.
After meeting, we enjoyed Karaoke!!

There were many special events in the 530th meeting. Especially, Facilitating Discussion was interesting. 
Three panelists discussed 20% Consumption Tax. It is a serious problem in Japan.
So, discussion was very exciting and real. TM Y.K took panel moderator.
This session is very long time 28 to 30 minutes, but his time management was great!

Next, we took new officer installation ceremony. In YTMC, Officers change in July.
YTMC will become new color in the next month! I’m looking forward to joining the next meeting.
In addition, I really appreciate former officers.
Thanks to their works, YTMC members enjoyed every meeting in 2011-2012!

Today, there were four prepared speakers.
All speeches were project#1 of basic or advanced manual.
So it was very exciting!
