The 767th Regular Meeting Report

There were 22 people participated in the meeting.

It was a sunny midsummer Saturday in Yokohama, and many members attended the meeting on-site.

The TMOD (Toastmaster of the Day) for the day was TM RS. It was her first time to be a Role, but as her character suggests, the meeting started in a cheerful atmosphere.

The impromptu speech table topic was moderated by TM TN, one of the most experienced member who had not joined us for a long time.

At the end of the meeting As the General Evaluator pointed out in his general review, all the questions were very good and easy to answer.
Often the questions are elaborate and difficult to answer and very pressuring, but that was not the case today.

真夏の快晴の横浜の土曜日、オンサイトで参加するメンバーが多数いらした例会でした。

この日のTMOD (Toastmaster of the Day / 司会者) はTM RSでした。初のRoleでしたが彼女のキャラクター通り、気負いない明るい雰囲気で例会が始まりました。

即興スピーチのテーブルトピックは、久しぶりに参加してくださったベテランのTM TNの司会で行われました。
例会の最後に 総評でGeneral Evaluatorが指摘なさったとおり、どの質問も簡単で答えやすくとてもよかったと思います。
テーブルトピックの質問がとても凝っていて、答えるのが難しくとてもプレッシャーになってしまうことがよくあるのですが、今日はそれがありませんでした。

TM HA, the Best Table Topic Speaker, talked about his recent addiction to camp, and shared her fascination with it in an easy-to-understand manner and with a rich vocabulary.
Fresh from a camping trip the day before, she shared with us how lightweight, compact, and functional camping gear is.
It certainly makes everyone want to collect all sorts of cap goods! I totally agree.

Best Table Topic SpeakerとなったTM HAは、最近ハマッているキャンプについて、わかりやすく豊富な語彙でその魅力を伝えてくれました。
前日キャンプから帰宅したばかりという、そのフレッシュな感想とともに、いかにキャンプグッズが軽量でコンパクト且つ機能性の高いかを教えてくれました。
確かに、キャップグッズはいろいろ集めたくなりますね！

Following a fun impromptu speech session, the preparatory speech session began, with four speakers taking the stage.
TM KT talked about the history of school bags, which she learned through preparing for her child’s entry into elementary school.
She talked about how randoseru (school bags) were introduced to Japan with an easy-to-understand presentation dating back to the Meiji Era. I did not know that the start was from Gakushuin.
I heard that there are very expensive and colorful randoseru (school bags) these days, and I could somewhat guess the parents’ concerns how difficult to choose the one.

楽しい即興スピーチセッションに続いて、準備スピーチセッションが始まり、4名のスピーカーが登壇しました。
TM KTは、お子さんの小学校入学準備を通して知った「ランドセルの歴史」について。
明治時代にまで遡って、わかりやすいプレゼンと共にランドセルが日本に導入された経緯を語ってくれました。スタートは学習院からだったとは知りませんでした。
最近は非常に高価でカラフルなランドセルがあるそうで、購入に悩む親心も伝わってきました。

TM NS gave a very realistic talk titled “Experiencs in my US life” about his experiences when he was posted to the US and felt the cultural differences.
In the U.S., first of all, he was driving in the same way as in Japan: if one stops suddenly at a yellow light, one is likely to hit the car following you, so have to go through the intersection quickly.
However, when he did so, a police car followed him and told him to “Raise your hand,” and he was lightly questioned by putting his hand on the back door of the car he stopped.
I did not know that in the U.S. a yellow light is an absolute stop. He admitted his mistake and logically explained the justification for not stopping and escaped the situation in peace. How great!

TM NSは「Experiencs in my US life」というタイトルで米国赴任時に経験なさった、文化の違いを感じた経験を臨場感たっぷりに話してくださいました。
黄色信号は「急に止まると後続車にぶつかるから急いで進む」という日本の認識のまま　アメリカでも同様に運転していたら
パトカーが追ってきて「Raise your hand」と言われ　停止させた車のバックドアに手をついて軽く尋問されたそうです。
アメリカでは黄色信号は絶対停止だとは知りませんでした。勘違いを認めつつ、停止しなかった正当性をロジカルに説明し難を逃れたとのことでした。さすがです！

TM HA, titled “TMOD in the real world,” told us about a trouble she had at a meeting where a company executive was asked to take the stage as an impromptu moderator.
At the beginning of the speech, she called out “Sato san!” “Sato san! Where are you?” I looked around and was drawn in. (By the way, there is no “Sato-san” in our club.)

She was very good at drawing us in for a first few seconds before we realized that she had already started her speech. It was interesting.
It was a speech with a sense of urgency, showing how unexpected happenings occur in real business and how she managed to get out of them.

TM HAは「TMOD in real world」というタイトルで、即興で司会を任された会社役員が登壇する会議でのトラブルを語ってくださいました。
冒頭、「Sato san!」「Sato san!」「Where are you? Sato san!」と連呼なさったので、あれ？佐藤さんっていうメンバーいたっけ？とつい周りを見回して引き込まれました。
ちなみに当クラブに「佐藤さん」はいらっしゃいません（笑）あ、もうスピーチ始まってるんだ、と気づくまで数秒の引き込みがうまいです。
いかに実際のビジネスで思わぬハプニングが起きるのか、それをどう切り抜けたのか、緊迫感あるスピーチでした。

TM MT gave a humorous speech titled “My nickname story” about his unique nickname history.
I thought it must be strange for a man to be called “Barbara”. Ironically, that’s why it’s so easy to remember and stick with.
I am glad to hear that his changed his nickname to “Terry” when he was transferred overseas in business, and that he likes this name best, which calmed my bothered feelings. Good for him!

TM MTは「My nickname story」というタイトルで　ご自分のユニークなニックネームの遍歴についてのユーモアたっぷりのスピーチでした。
確かに男性が「バーバラ」と呼ばれるのは本人には違和感があるだろうなぁ、と思いました。だからこそ覚えやすくて定着し易い、困ったものです（笑）
その後 海外赴任時に「テリー」に変わった、この名が一番好き、とのことで、私もモヤモヤが落ち着きました。よかったですね！

After the break, TM HA served as the General Evaluator for the review all the sessions that began after the break.
TM YO, TM YA, TM HO, and TH TP who took the stage as Evaluators, all of them are well experienced who have served as officers before (or this year), and some of them are from overseas.
I was impressed by how YTMC’s members are well rounded and listened to them with great interest.
I participated onsite, and since evaluaters seated both sides, in many meanings it was a bit difficult decision to vote! (LOL)

さてこの後、休憩をはさんで始まった論評セッションでは、TM HAがGeneral Evaluatorを務めました。
Evaluatorとして登壇したTM YO, TM YA, TM HO, TH TP、いずれもofficerを歴任（または今年着任）の超ベテラン、海外の方もいらっしゃるので
英語の運用能力だけではなく構成含めて どの講評も粒ぞろいで甲乙つけがたく、さすがは層が厚いYTMC、とすっかり感心して聞き惚れました。
私はオンサイトで参加して、両脇にどちらもEvaluatorが座っていらしたので、いろんな意味で投票は 苦渋の判断でした！（笑）

The Best Evaluator Award went to TM YO, who presented his commentary in an easy-to-understand manner and with a soft demeanor.
During the Bouquet & Brickbats, TM RS, who was the first TMOD of the day, was presented with a bouquet of flowers for her bright and witty performance.
The first TMOD can be a very nerve-wracking experience for anyone.
Usually everyone tends to make many small mistakes and have advice from other members. then how quickly respond with a humorous remark to ease the situation and move on, makes a big difference.
“TM RS was able to do that, that was really great!” that GE pointed out. Indeed!
One guest joined us onsite and commented on the meeting in fluent Queen’s English.

特にわかりやすい表現でソフトな物腰で論評を披露したTM YOがベスト論評者賞を受賞しました。
ブーケ & ブリックバッツ (花束と酷評) の時間には、今日初めてTMODを務めたTM RSに　その明るく当意即妙なパフォーマンスに花束が贈られました。
初めてのTMODは誰でもとても緊張するものです。ちょっとしたミスやアドバイスを受けたときに、パッとユーモアある一言を返して場を和ませて進ませるスキルが大きな差になるのですね。TM RSはそれができていました。
とは、GEの総評です。確かに！
ゲストも１名オンサイトで参加してくださり、イギリス仕込み流暢な英語で例会の感想をコメントしてくださいました。

The 766th Regular Meeting Report

There were 19 people participated in the meeting.

Although the rainy season should have ended, many members joined the meeting on-site for the first time in a while, despite the continuous rain.
At the beginning of the meeting, President NS. showed everyone a new banner with this term’s slogan “Have a Nice Day” which was displayed on the speech table.
The slogan is now more familiar to all, surrounded by pictures of many cute stuffed bears.

梅雨明けしたはずが連日続く雨の中、久しぶりにオンサイトで参加するメンバーが多数いらした例会でした。
開会冒頭、S会長が壇上に飾った今期スローガン「Have a Nice Day /よい一日を」の新しいバナーをみんなに披露してくれました。
かわいらしいたくさんのクマのぬいぐるみの写真で、誰にとっても親しみやすいよいバナーです。

The “Word of the Day” was “Fabulous (wonderful, legendary, tremendous),” which was carefully introduced by TM AI with examples.

The TMOD (Toastmaster of the Day) of the day was TM MT. Despite having been a member for less than a year, he showed that he had carefully prepared for the event.

Word of the Day (本日の言葉) は「Fabulous (すばらしい、伝説的な、途方もない)」で、この言葉にまつわる事例を交えながら、TM AIがプレゼンつきで丁寧に紹介してくれました。
この日のTMOD (Toastmaster of the Day / 司会者) はTM MTでした。入会してまだ1年経たないにも関わらず、入念な準備をして進めてくださっているのがよくわかる司会でした。

The moderator for the impromptu speech, table topic master was TM AN, who was also taken this role for the first time.
He wrote large, question-and-answer questions on his prepared slides and asked questions related to “summer.”
TM TT said, “I used to want to go outside, but now I prefer to read books and magazines under the air conditioning!” I strongly agreed with her!

即興スピーチのテーブルトピックでは、こちらも初めてセッションマスター役に挑戦するTM ANの司会で行われました。
彼は質問ごとに準備したスライドに大きな文字で質問を書き、「夏」に関連した質問をしました。
TM TTの「昔は外に出てあちこち行きたかったものだけど、今はエアコンの下で本や雑誌を読んでいたい」には強く共感しました！

After the fun impromptu speeches, the preparatory speech session began, with three speakers presenting their speeches in English.
TM AT gave a speech on EasySpeak, which he introduced at YTMC last year, with the theme “Has the new system made YTMC better?”
Understanding the hard work of the members who hold every meeting, he reaffirmed the effectiveness of EasySpeak.
I will be careful not to “accidentally forget to look at it” so that I can take advantage of this wonderful system!

楽しい即興スピーチセッションに続いて、準備スピーチセッションが始まり、3名のスピーカーが英語スピーチを披露しました。
TM ATは、昨年彼が中心となってYTMCに導入したEasySpeakについて「新しいシステムはYTMCをより良くしたのか?」についてスピーチしました。
毎回の会議を取りまとめるメンバーの苦労を理解しつつ　EasySpeakの効力を再確認しました。素晴らしいシステムが活きるよう「うっかり見忘れる」ことのないよう気を付けます！

TM KO gave us an easy-to-understand explanation of the Toastmasters organization, titled “Toastmaster’s Numbers,” in which he laid out the numbers of clubs and DTMs overseas vs Japan, and YTMC.
While showing us the actual search screen, he told us that the number of clubs in Corona is decreasing, but online meetings are increasing, and that we can easily join meetings abroad with EasySpeak.
I will definitely try to join clubs in other countries as a guest.

TM KOは「トーストマスターの数字」というタイトルで、他国と日本 2つの値を並べながらクラブ数やDTMの数、DTMになるためのステップなどについてわかりやすく説明してくれました。
コロナでクラブ数が減ってしまったもののオンライン開催が増え、EasySpeakから気軽に他国のミーティングに参加できることを実際の検索画面を示しながら教えて貰いました。
私もぜひ、他国のクラブにゲスト参加しようと思います。

TM HK was titled “AHA moments on leadership. He said that good leadership is to give members clear goals, enough time, and enough training.
Personally, especiallyI was impressed by the title “AHA moment”. I thought it made me feel less formal and closer to the audience when sharing what I had learned.

TM HKは「リーダーシップについてハッと気づいたこと(=AHA moments)」というタイトルでした。
良いリーダーシップとは、クリアな目標・充分な時間・充分なトレーニングをメンバーに与えること、とのことでした。
個人的には英語タイトルの「アーハー体験」という表現がよかったです。自分が学んだことをシェアするときに、上から目線というか、堅苦しさがなくなるな、と思いました。

After the break, TM TP served as the overall evaluator for the first time.
The comments from each judge were excellent, both encouraging and informative.
The Best Evaluator Award went to TM TS, the former president of YTMC, who gave a constructive and well-organized commentary.
In the “Bouquet & Brickbats” (flowers and dry comments), the President presented a bouquet each to the TMOD, Table Topic Master, and GM, who all performed well in their first major roles.
Despite the rain, one guest joined the venue and contributed a very short, witty comment, caring for time.

休憩をはさんで始まった論評セッションでは、TM TPが初めてGeneral Evaluatorを務めました。
初めてとは思えない安定感で、各論評者の論評もそれぞれ激励も兼ねた役立つ内容で素晴らしいものでした。
特に豊富な表現力で建設的な論評を披露した前会長のTSがベスト論評者賞を受賞しました。
ブーケ & ブリックバッツ (花束と酷評) の時間には、会長がTMOD、Table Topic Master、GM、それぞれに初めての大任を素晴らしいパフォーマンスで終えたことへの花束が贈られました。
雨にもかかわらず、ゲストも１名オンサイトで参加してくださり、時間を気にした、ウィットの聞いた短いコメントを頂きました。

The 764th Regular Meeting Report

There were 25 people (including 1 guest) participated in the meeting.

The meeting started with business section from TM HO. As our club VPE in the next term, he informed about the new system for role assignment that includes an excel file and easy speak. The excel file will be used to assign for three key roles: TMOD, prepared speakers, general evaluator up to next three months. TM O will inform assigned members via email before updating easy speak.

Next, TM A facilitated the meeting as the Toast Master Of the Day (TMOD). Her warm accent and bright smile maked other people feel comfortable and enjoyable during the meeting. She introduced the theme of meeting: Memory of the first haft 2022. She shared her best events about professional life and social life. Then, the role takers: TM O as grammarian, TM HN as Ah counter, TM AY as vote counter, TM P as website reporter explained their roles and share their best memory of the first haft 2022.

Then, the meeting continued Table topic master section- the most interesting section where speakers had to answer questions without preparation.

In prepared speeches section:
TM AN provided a very energetic speech about his motivation to join YTMC. He would want to talk properly, listen attentively, give feedback constructively, and so bring values to audiences.
TM HO shared his interesting memory about the song gangnam style in 2012. There are differences in promoting culture and business between Japan and Korea. In Japan, please just be yourself, do your job well, and people will notice good points about you.
TM K gave us an useful lesson learn in his life. “Camera is always on”, but it is not only technical camera, the eyes of people around you are cameras. Behave yourself, be consistent, and be successful.

Our meeting had 10 minutes intermission before evaluation section. Evaluators gave prepared speakers valuable comments and improvement points about speech title, structure presentation, gestures, and how to successfully deliver main points to audience.

The awards in the meeting are as below:

Best prepared speaker: TM HO
Best evaluator: TM O

This meeting was the last meeting of this term 2021-2022. So we had a summary main event YTMC last year and award for members who had path completion or significant contributions for our club. Then we had the Officers Installation Ceremony for the next term 2022-2023. The new officers team commit to work together and make our club become more and more enjoyable and valuable.
The next meeting will be held at Hatoba Kaikan on July 2nd.

ミーティングには25名（ゲスト1名を含む）が参加しました。

ミーティングはTM.Oのビジネスセクションから始まりました。次期のクラブVPEとして、彼は、Excelファイルと簡単な説明で役割分担の新しいシステムについて通知しました。 ExcelファイルをTMOD、スピーカー、論評者など主要な役割を次の3か月間に割り当てるために使用する。また、イージースピークを更新する前に、割り当てられたメンバーに電子メールで通知すると説明しました。

次に、TM Aは、トーストマスターオブザデイ（TMOD）としてミーティングを促進しました。彼女の温かみのあるアクセントと明るい笑顔は、ミーティング中に他の人々を快適で楽しい気分にさせました。彼女はミーティングのテーマを紹介しました：2022年の最初の柄の記憶。彼女は職業生活と社会生活についての彼女の最高のイベントを共有しました。次に、役割を担う人、文法係のTM O、AhカウンターのTM HN、投票集計係TM AY、ウェブサイトレポーターとしてのTM Pが自らら役割を説明し、2022年の前半の印象に残った思い出を共有しました。

そして、ミーティングはテーブルトピックに移りました。これは、スピーカーが準備なしで質問に答える、とても面白いセクションです。

スピーチのセクション：
TM ANは、YTMCに参加する動機について非常にエネルギッシュなスピーチを行いました。彼はきちんと話し、注意深く耳を傾け、建設的にフィードバックを与え、聴衆に価値をもたらしたいと考えています。

TM HOは、2012年に江南スタイルについての興味深い思い出を共有しました。日本と韓国では、文化とビジネスの促進に違いがあります。日本では、自分らしくいて、上手に仕事をしてください。そうすれば、人々はあなたの良い点に気付くでしょう。

TM Kは、彼の人生で学ぶ有益な教訓を私たちに与えてくれました。 「カメラは常にオン」ですが、それはテクニカルカメラだけでなく、周りの人の目もカメラです。自分自身を振る舞い、一貫性を保ち、成功します。

私たちのミーティングは、評価セクションの前に10分間の休憩がありました。評価者は、準備されたスピーカーに、スピーチのタイトル、構造のプレゼンテーション、ジェスチャー、および主要なポイントを聴衆にうまく伝える方法について、貴重なコメントと改善点を与えました。

このミーティングは、2021年から2022年の今期の最後のミーティングでした。そこで、昨年はメインイベントYTMCの概要を説明し、パスを完了したメンバーやクラブに多大な貢献をしたメンバーに賞を授与しました。　
その後、次期2022年から2023年にかけて役員就任式が行われました。
新しい役員チームは、協力してクラブをますます楽しく価値のあるものにすることを約束されました。

次回は7月2日鳩場会館で開催されます。

Our 763th meeting started at 13:58 – 2 min ahead since all participants were prepared for the meeting.There were 26 people (including 3 guests) participated in the meeting. It was great.

We had an induction ceremony for a new club member. He is an Indian working for IT company. The guests are able to participate in our meeting up to 3 times before deciding to join our club membership.

The prospects asked to go out of the room during the discussion among the club members whether s/he is eligible to join as a member. New members approved to join to enter the meeting room with big hands. I like this moment of the ceremony.

Word of the day was presented by TM HN. The word was “Concrete”

TM HK led the meeting as a Toast Master Of the Day (TMOD). He well prepared for the meeting and supported table topics master, prepared speakers, general evaluator and evaluators.

Table Topics Master was taken by TM MK, he is the youngest member of the club. His questions were interesting and challenging for the speakers.

Everyone was struggling to answer to the questions.4 members made prepared speeches for this meeting.

1. TM RS talked about video featured children from internet related to the international children’s day (June 1st)

2. TM TN gave us a very funny story at Valentine’s Day.

3. TM AI threw us the question whether the world after death exists or not.

4. TN SI explained how Japanese Animations has influence to the world.

TM KT went through the evaluation session as a general evaluator.
She suggested some very valid improvement ideas for the meeting, well done.
Also, 4 Evaluators gave feedback to each prepared speaker from technically and psychological stand points.

It was a successful meeting since role takers carefully orchestrated well.

The next meeting will be held at Hatoba Kaikan on June 18th,
It will be the last meeting for the YTMC cabinet 2021-2022 and a small ceremony of changing club leadership to be held.
We would like to express the sincere application for everything done by the officers!

第763回ミーティングは13:58と定刻2分前に始まりました。皆さん定刻前に会場入りして準備ができている状態でした。
今回は3名のゲストを含めて26名の参加でした。素晴らしいことだと思います。
　まず最初に新メンバーの入会式が行われました。今回はIT会社に勤務するインド人の方が加入しました。ゲストの方は入会するかどうか決める前に3回まで参加できますのでお気軽にお越しください。
　入会希望者が部屋からでて会員同士で入会が適切かどうかを議論します。そして承認されると新メンバーはミーティングの部屋に入ると皆さんから暖かい拍手に囲まれます。私はこの瞬間が入会式の中で好きなところです。

TM HNが本日の単語（Word of the day）Concreteを紹介しました。

TM HKが本日のトーストマスター（MC）としてこのミーティングを引っ張っていきました。彼はミーティングに対して非常に良く準備して各メンバーを助けていました。

テーブルトピックは当クラブ最年少のTM MKが進めてくれました。彼の質問はとても面白く答えるのに苦労する内容でしたが皆さん楽しんで即興のスピーチを行いました。

今回は4人が準備スピーチを行いました。
1. TM RSが6/1の世界こどもデーにあわせてインターネットで見た子供のビデオの魅力について語りました。
2. TM TNはバレンタインデーの思い出をスピーチしました。
3. TM AIは死後の世界があるのかという命題を我々に投げかけました。
4. TM SIは日本のアニメが世界に与えた影響について話しました。

TM KTが批評パートの司会をして、とてもためになる改善のアイディアを提案しました。また、4名の批評人がそれぞれの準備スピーチに対して技術的、心理学的な見地でフィードバックをしました。

ミーティングは皆さんが与えられた役割を難なくこなして成功裏に終わりました。

次回は6/18に波止場会館で現役員での最後のミーティングになります。役員の交代式などささやかなセッションがおこなわれますのでお楽しみに。
少し早いですが、役員の皆さんのこれまでの貢献に感謝します。

第762回例会「エリア52合同例会」レポート / The 762nd Meeting “Area 52 Joint Meeting” Report

The 762nd regular meeting of YTMC was held as “The Area 52 Joint Meeting” at the main hall on the 5th floor of Hatoba Kaikan in the Minatomirai Area of Yokohama. A total of nearly 70 Toastmasters and guests, 41 at the venue and 27 online, from the five Area 52 clubs (Yokohama, Minatomirai, Ocean, Kannai, and Rock Music), gathered together in one place at the same time. Due to the Covid 19 situation, this was the first Area 52 Joint Meeting since the last one which was held in 2019. However, thanks to the passion and hard work of officers and representatives from each club, this was made possible. Yay!

The venue had a commanding view of the Port of Yokohama, Minatomirai skyscrapers, and the Red Brick Warehouse under the clear blue sky, which further added to the excitement of the event. The joint meeting was opened by the Ocean Club President E, who participated online. After the greetings by Area 52 Director TM K and Yokohama Club President TM S, the warm-up/ice-break stretching exercise instructed by Minatomirai Club President TM K followed. After fully stretching the body and taking deep breaths, everyone got ready to participate in the main educational session.
The first half of the educational session was conducted by TM I from the Yokohama Ocean Club, who came all the way from Niigata that day, and the second half was conducted by TM K of the Minatomirai Club as TMOD (Toastmasters of the Day).
The educational session started with one of the highlights of this joint meeting, “Club Pride Speech” by a representative from each club. Each club gave a short speech peppered with humor, including a stand-up comedy and team presentation.
This was followed by a Table Topics Session in small groups. Thanks to the efforts of TM I, the TMOD and Table Topics Master, and TM O, the Zoom host, who grouped the attendees in advance, despite the large size of the participants breaking out into small groups went smoothly. Usually, in the Table Topics Session in a regular meeting, only 5-6 members at most have a chance to speak, but this joint meeting was designed to give everyone a chance to speak, as well as to get to know the members from other clubs. Thanks to that I had a chance to talk with people from other clubs in a friendly manner, and I enjoyed it very much. After the group speeches, the TMOD (and Table Topics Master) asked for volunteers, and representatives from each group went up on stage or online to “brag” about their hometown, hobbies, and what they had done well this term, which made it a fun session for everyone. Originally, in a Table Topics Session, the questions are not known until last minute, but this time, due to the large number of attendees, we adopted the method of choosing and answering any of the three questions given to the participants in advance. I think it was the right call.

After a five-minute break, the Prepared Speech Session by representatives from each club began. The new TMOD, TM K, appeared on stage in the latter half by the introduction of the TMOD in the first half, and he introduced speakers one after another. The speeches, ranging from serious to instrumental, musical, and fun, were presented by four onsite and one online speakers with rich and substantial content.
The evaluation was also presented by four onsite and one online attendees. What impressed me the most was the fact that the speeches and evaluations were felt far more powerful and enjoyable to listen to in a large venue and from a big stage than from an online screen. The Toastmasters International has held its annual speech contest online for three consecutive years because of the Covid 19 pandemic, and the District 76 (Japan) finals were held “online” just one week ago. Of course, online speeches have their own advantages. But the sense of unity and rapport with the audience that I experienced at this joint meeting made me realize that it is an essential element for public speaking. Some of the five clubs still hold their meetings exclusively online, so I heard some of them saying, “It’s such a real pleasure to see everyone in person and hear live speeches for the first time in a long time!”
I hope that next year we will be able to hold the contest live, and every meeting live, too.

At the end of the prepared speech and evaluation session, the best speaker awards were given to TM A from Yokohama Ocean Club for Table Topics, TM A from Minatomirai Club for Best Evaluator, and TM A from Yokohama Club for Best Speaker. Congratulations to all!

Before adjourning, some members of the Rock Music TMC, which had chartered in this term, played a few songs with guitars and a vocal on the stage and was given a big round of applause from the audience.

The joint meeting ended successfully while enjoying a beautiful view of the Port of Yokohama with a soft sea breeze blowing in the air. I hope we can do it again next year. Thank you very much to the officers and members of each club for their efforts in organizing this event!

YTMCの第762回通常例会は、エリア52合同例会として、波止場会館5階大ホールにて盛大に開催されました。エリア52所属の5クラブ (横浜・みなとみらい・オーシャン・関内・ロックミュージック)のうち、会場41名、オンライン27名、合計70名弱のトーストマスターおよびゲストが大集合しました。エリア52合同例会は、コロナ禍のため、2019年の開催を最後に行われていませんでしたが、今年はぜひやりたいという各クラブ代表者の熱意により開催の運びとなりました。

晴天に恵まれた会場からは、横浜港や高層ビル群、赤レンガ倉庫などが眺望でき、ワクワク感がいや増します。オンライン参加のオーシャンクラブE会長により、高らかに開会が宣言されました。その後、エリア52ディレクターTM Kの挨拶、横浜クラブ会長TM Sの挨拶を経て、まずはウォーミングアップ/アイスブレークとして、みなとみらいクラブ会長のTM Kによるストレッチエクササイズが行われました。身体を十分に伸ばし、深呼吸をして、いよいよ本番セッションがスタートです。

教育セッションの前半部分は当日新潟から駆け付けたオーシャンクラブのTM Iが、後半はみなとみらいクラブのTM KがTMOD (本日の司会)を務めました。
教育セッションは、まず今回の合同例会の目玉、各クラブ代表による「クラブ自慢スピーチ」で始まりました。各クラブとも、漫才あり、チームプレゼンありのユーモアたっぷりのショートスピーチを披露してくれました。

続いては、スモールグループに分かれてのテーブルトピックセッションです。大人数にもかかわらず、グループ移動はスムーズに行えました。事前に出席者をグループ分けして下さったTMOD兼テーブルトピックスマスターのTM IとZoomホストのTM Oの尽力に感謝いたします。通常例会のテーブルトピックセッションでは、せいぜい5～6名程度のメンバーしか喋る機会はありませんが、この合同例会では、他クラブメンバーとの親睦も兼ねて、全員が喋れるように工夫が凝らされていました。私も他クラブの方々と親しくお話ができて、とても楽しいセッションでした。グループでのスピーチ後、TMOD兼テーブルトピックスマスターがボランティアを募り、各グループ代表がステージに上がって、またはオンライン上から、自分の故郷、趣味、今期頑張ったことをそれぞれ「自慢」し、みんなが楽しめるセッションとなりました。本来テーブルトピックスセッションでは、質問の内容は直前までわかりませんが、今回は出席者多数のため、事前に与えられた3つの質問の中から好きなものを選んで答える、というやり方を採用しました。正解だったと思います。

5分間の休憩をはさみ、いよいよ各クラブ代表による準備スピーチセッションが始まりました。前半TMODの紹介で後半TMODのTK Kがステージに登場し、次々とスピーカーを紹介していきました。シリアスな内容から楽器を使った楽しい内容まで、オンサイト4名、オンライン1名による内容の濃い充実したスピーチが披露されました。
論評もまた、オンサイト4名オンライン1名という顔ぶれでした。何より印象的だったのは、大きな会場、大きなステージで聴くスピーチや論評は、本当に迫力があり楽しめる、ということでした。トーストマスターズクラブでは、コロナ禍のため、3年連続で年に1度のスピーチ大会をオンラインで開催しており、1週間前に全国大会ファイナルが「オンライン」で開催されたばかりでした。もちろんオンラインスピーチにはオンラインなりの良さがあります。でも、この合同例会で経験した観客との一体感や迫力は、パブリックスピーキングには欠かせない要素だなあ、と痛感しました。5クラブの中にはいまだにオンラインのみで例会を行っているクラブもあるそうで、「久しぶりにみんなに直接会えて、生のスピーチを聴けて本当に嬉しいです!」と嬉々として語る方もいらっしゃいました。
来年こそコンテストは生で、そして例会も毎回生で行えるよう、節に願っています。

充実したスピーチと論評セッションが終わり、見事ベストスピーカー賞を獲得したのは、テーブルトピックスではオーシャンクラブのTM A、ベストエバリュエーターはみなとみらいクラブのTM A、そしてベストスピーカー賞は我が横浜クラブのTM Aでした。みなさん、おめでとうございました!

閉会前に、今期チャーターした新クラブ「ロックミュージックTMC」の数名がギターとヴォーカルによる演奏を数曲披露し、観衆から大歓声を受けました。

このようにして、楽しかった合同例会は潮風そよぐ横浜港の美しい景色の中、成功裡に終わりました。また来年もぜひやってほしいと思います。開催にご尽力いただいた各クラブの役員・メンバーの方々、どうもありがとうございました!

The 761st Toastmasters Club meeting was held on May 7 at Yokohama Hatoba Kaikan with 23 members and guests.
First, Madam President TM S, who will be participating in the English speech division of the national contest, talked about her wish. Although she is not representing the Yokohama Toastmasters Club this time, but from another club, she has brushed up her speech at YTMC, and we hope that she will win a prize.
Next, we had a ceremony to welcome a new member, O. TM. O visited many Toastmasters Clubs before she finally deciding to join YTMC.

Then there was the election of new officers starting July 1. TM. S., who was elected as the next President, is an experienced Toastmaster. And among the new officers were four relatively new members. I am sure that they will lead Yokohama Toastmasters Club with their flash perspectives. There was also a greeting from TM. O, who is participating in the election for District Director.
For table topic session, TM. I, who is also a school teacher, asked a variety of questions he often receives from children. It was a stimulating topic, although they were quite difficult to answer.
That is becausechildren often ask essential questions.

Three TMs gave prepared speeches.
The first, TM. M, talked about her experience of running a 100-kilometer marathon. She talked about how her feelings changed during the race and how she was determined to try again.
The second TM. M talked about leadership. He talked about the relationship between purpose, means, and vision, citing the actual example of the Tohoku earthquake.
The last speaker, TM. T, talked about the transition of his hobbies. He finished the speech with the wonderful conclusion that he can now say that studying English and the Yokohama Toastmasters Club are his hobbies.
The awards were given to TM. O, who talked about not needing friends as a table topic, and M, who talked about his 100km marathon. And Mr. T for evaluation of TM. M’s marathon topic..
Finally, the next joint meeting was explained. The meeting of the four Area 52 Toastmasters clubs will be held on May 28. We are looking forward to it.

５月7日のトーストマスターズクラブは横浜波止場会館でゲストを含めて２３名で行われました。
まず最初に全国大会の英語スピーチ部門に出場することなったプレジデントＳさんからその抱負が語られました。今回はYokohama Toastmasters Clubの代表ではなく、他クラブからの代表ですが、YTMCでもブラッシュアップしたスピーチですので、ぜひ入賞を目指してほしいです。
次に新しいメンバーをＯさんの入会セレモニーがありました。ＯさんはこのYokohama Toastmasters Clubに入会する前にいくつものトーストマスターズクラブを見学して最終的にＹＴＭＣクラブに決めてくださったそうです。
そして7月1日からの新しいオフィサーズの選挙がありました。次期プレジデントに選ばれたＳさんは経験豊富なトーストマスターです。そして新オフィサーの中には4名の新人が入りました。フラッシュな視点で今後のYokohama Toastmasters Clubを引っ張ってくれるものと思います。またディストリクトディレクターの選挙を控えるＯさんからの挨拶もありました。
テーブルトピックは学校の先生でもあるＩさんから子供たちからよく受ける質問と言うお題でいろいろな質問が出ました。子供は本質的な質問をするので結構答えるのが難しいけれど刺激的なトピックでした。
プリペアードスピーチは３人が行いました。
最初のMさんは100キロマラソンの経験を語られました。その間の心情の変化そしてまた挑戦するとの心意気を語ってくれました。
次のMさんはリーダーシップについて語られました。目的と手段とビジョンの関係について東北大地震の実際の例を挙げて語られました。
最後のTさんはご自身の趣味の変遷を語られました。今は英語の勉強、そしてYokohama Toastmasters Clubが趣味と言えると言う素晴らしい結論でした。
表彰はテーブルトピックで友達なんていらないと語られたＯさん。100ｋｍマラソンについて語られたＭさん。そしてMさんを評価したTさんになりました。
最後に次回の合同ミーティングについても説明がありました。エリア52の4つのトーストマスターズクラブが集まった会合が5月28日に開かれます。楽しみです。

2.022-04-16 (Sat) YTMC 760 regular meeting was attended by 18 on-site members and guests, and 10 on-line members and guests. 
Madam President T. S attended on-line, as she will give Division contest speech tomorrow, but she started and closed the meeting very well as usual. TM O, YTMC next term Club Officer Nomination committee chair, announced officer nominees, and also announced the election day is 2022-May-7th.
Toastmaster of the Day, TMOD, was TM T. This was his 2nd TMOD experience.
Table Topic Master was TM. S, who prepared various coins, and she asked the Table Topic speaker to talk about his/her memory about the year shown on the spcific coins, which was the new Table Topic approach. If a Table Topic speaker wanted, TM S gave another question instead. By the way, what does Table Topic session means?
Topics told among the people who are eating around the same table, may be changed from one to others so quickly. And suddenly you may be asked “what do you think of the topic”. You need to give your opinion right away. This session is impromptu speaking training.
Then we moved to the prepared speech session.
The first speaker was TM T, her speech title was “What is My name”. She talked about how women were called by others, and how does a woman want to be called.
The second speaker was TM S, his speech title was “Our Children”. The title was shocking, but he talked about hi-tech animal toys he had.
The third speaker was TM O, his speech title was “For YTMC New Members”, Introduction of YTMC, YTMC presidents.
The fourth speaker was T. S. This was the rehearsal of Division contest speech.
The 2nd and 3rds speeches were overtimed, but these speeches were qualified.
Evaluation session was managed very well by the General Evaluator TM M.
1st evaluator was TM A, who evaluated TM T’s speechl.
2nd evaluator was TM O, who evaluated TM S’s speech.
3rd evaluator was TM A, who evaluated TM O’s speech.
4th evaluator was TM I who evaluated TM S’s speech.
Every evaluator raised 3 good points, and at least one improvement point.
Grammatical report by TM O pointed, instead of Best sample, rather use best practice.
TM N reported voting result to TMOD, and the results were announced by TMOD.　
Best Table Topic speaker was TM M.
Best Evaluator was TM A.
Best prepared speaker was TM O.　
TMOD passed control to the president, who asked short comments from all of the guests.

YTMC 760 定例会は2022年4月16日メンバー、ゲスト合わせてオンサイト18名、オンライン10名の出席で行われました。
プレジデント、Sは翌日のDivision Contest のリハーサルのためOn-Line で出席でしたが定例会の開会、閉会をいつものように和やかに行っていました。
クラブ役員ノミネーション委員会のTM Oは　当日予定されていた通り　指名委員会としてのnomineeの発表を行い 投票日が５月７日であることを再確認しました。
Toastmaster of the Day, TMOD, はTM Tで これが彼の２回目のTMODの経験です。
Table Topic Master は TM Sでした。彼女は手元のコインを使い, TT Speakerにコインの製造年と同じ年の記憶を話してもらう新しい趣向のTable Topic sessionでした。もしTable Topic speaker が希望すればTM S が別の質問に変えました。
ところで Table Topic session とはどういう意味か説明をしましょう。
同じテーブルで食事をする人々の話題は次から次と変わります。突然 あなたに振られ “あなたはこのトピックにつぃてどういうご意見をお持ちですか” と聞かれるかもしれません。すぐに答える訓練がTable Topic セッションです。
続いてprepared speech セッションです。
最初のspeakerはTで, 題名は”What is My name”です。このスピーチで、女性が他人に何と呼ばれるかの問題、どう呼ばれたいかを議論しています。
2番目の speakerはTM Sで題名は”Our Children”です。題名はショッキングですが、内容はハイテクの動物のオモチャの話です。
3番目の speakerはTM Oで題名は”For YTMC New Members”で, YTMC, YTMC presidentsの話です。
4番目のspeakerはTM S題名は”Quitters Never Win”。当スピーチは、 Division contest speechのリハーサルでしたので Best Speakerの投票候補には入っていません。
2番目と3番目のスピーチは時間オーバーでしたがqualifyされました。
Evaluation session はGeneral Evaluator TM Mによってうまくマネージされました。.
1番目のevaluator はTM Aで, TM Tのスピーチの評論を行いました。
2番目のevaluator はTM Oで, TM Sのスピーチの評論を行いました。
3番目のevaluator はTM Aで, TM Oのスピーチの評論を行いました。
4番目のevaluator はTM Iで, TM Sのスピーチの評論を行いました。
いずれの論評者も良い点３つ、一つ以上の改善点を指摘していました。
TM O はGrammatical reportとして Best sample, よりbest practiceなどといったほうが良いと指摘しました。
TM N はTMODに投票結果を報告、TMODは結果を発表しました。
ベストテーブルトピックspeakerはTM M.
Best Evaluator はTM A.
Best prepared speaker は TM O　でした。
TMOD はpresidentにコントロールを戻しました。プレジデントはゲストの皆さんに短いコッメントをお願いしました。

On April 2, a pleasant spring breeze blew in Yokohama Harbor, and the 759th meeting of the Yokohama Toastmasters Club was held. The venue was the club’s home venue, Hashiba Kaikan.
There were 8 participants at the venue and 14 participants online, for a total of 22 people.

The theme of the meeting was “Grandma’s Knowledge.
At the beginning of the meeting, the day’s moderator (TMOD), A-san, started the meeting in a friendly atmosphere by sharing episodes related to Grandmas’ Wisdoms collected from each role taker.
The word of the day was “Auspicious” tastefully chosen by newcomer T-san. The new word was put into the members’ heads.

Newcomer P-san was also in charge of the impromptu speech session, and she prepared a variety of life wisdom questions related to the theme of the meeting. What advice would you give to young people? What was the most impactful event in your life? What’s the best thing about being a parent?” What words would you send to your child on his or her coming-of-age day? What did you learn from your parents? Who encouraged you to leave your hometown? Such as. Simple questions, but they elicited a wide range of experiences and thoughts from the respondents. Really, they were all great questions. Awesome!

In the prepared speeches section, four speakers presented their speeches.
The first was A-san, who is a brand manager at a manufacturing company. It was a unique speech that imitated branding training for new employees, and it was impressive that T-san, who was suddenly assigned by A-san to play the role of a new employee, was surprised when he answered the question.

The second was N-san, a yachtsman who delivered a public speech honoring a star he admired. The star he admires is also a famous yachtsman. The name “Young General” should ring a bell, right? I felt his extraordinary fan spirit.

Third was K-san, an engineer who talked about his hero, Edison, who became an engineer because of his admiration for Edison. He said he became an engineer because of his admiration for Edison, but that admiration led to his company sending him to the U.S., where he was able to realize various ideas he had at work and achieve success. Who is your hero/heroine!”

The fourth speaker, I-san, an active teacher, talked about education, saying that “thinking is more important than crammed knowledge,” and his talk based on his own experiences and real feelings was very convincing. It was an opportunity for us to rethink the importance of “the ability to think” in a world that will become more and more complex in the future. I listened while nodding my head.

Thank you all for your wonderful speeches.

In the evaluation session, veteran members gave thoughtful advice to each speaker: I-san gave advice on how to save time by using slides; K-san gave advice on how to attract interest with an episode that only the speaker knows; M-san gave advice on how to refrain from introducing oneself in a negative light. T-san advised the use of body language in speech assignments.

The best prepared speaker was K-san, the best table topic speaker was guest I-san, and the best reviewer was T-san.

It was another productive meeting.

横浜港に春を感じる心地よい風が吹いた4月2日、横浜トーストマスターズクラブの第759回ミーティングが開催されました。会場は当クラブのホームグラウンドの波止場会館でした。
会場の参加者が8名、オンラインの参加者が14名で総勢22名でした。

ミーティングのテーマは「おばあちゃんの知恵袋（Grandma’s Knowledge）」。
例会の冒頭、当日の司会者（TMOD）のAさんが、各役割担当者から集めたおばあちゃんの知恵袋に関するエピソードを披露し、和やかな雰囲気で例会が始まりました。
本日の言葉は新人のTさんがセンス良く選択した「Auspicious（幸先の良い）」。新しい単語がメンバーの頭にインプットされました。

即興スピーチのコーナーも新人のPさんが担当しました。Pさんは例会のテーマに関連して様々な生活の知恵に関する質問を準備していました。「若者へのアドバイスは？」「人生でインパクトのあった出来事は？」「親の良いところは？」「成人式に子供に送る言葉は？」「両親から学んだことは？」「故郷から離れるとき誰に後押しされた？」など。簡単な問いだけど、回答者から様々な経験や考えを引き出していました。ほんと、全部素晴らしい質問でした。凄い！

準備スピーチのコーナーでは4名がスピーチを披露しました。
１番目は、メーカー企業でブランドマネージャーをしているAさん。新入社員へのブランディング研修を模倣したユニークなスピーチでした。Aさんから新人社員役として急に当てられたTさんはびっくりしながら回答してたのが印象的です。

２番目は、憧れのスターを表彰するパブリックスピーチを披露したヨットマンのNさん。憧れのスターもヨットマンとして有名な方。「若大将」といえばピンときますよね。並々ならるファン魂を感じました。

３番目は、自身のヒーロー「エジソン」について話をしたエンジニアのKさん。Kさんがエンジニアになったのはエジソンへの憧れからだそうです。でも、その憧れがきっかけとなり、会社から米国に派遣されて仕事上のいろいろなアイディアを形にして成果をあげられたそうです。「あなたのヒーロー／ヒロインは誰ですか！」

４番目は、現役教師のIさんによる「詰め込んだ知識よりも考えることが大切」という教育の話。Iさんの実体験や実感に基づくお話はとても説得力がありました。これからの複雑化した世界で「考える力」の重要性を改めて考える機会となりました。うなずきながら聞きました。

皆さん、素晴らしいスピーチをありがとうございました。

論評コーナーは、ベテラン会員が各スピーカーに心のこもったアドバイスをしました。Iさんからは、スライドを使って時間短縮するアドバイス。Kさんからは、スピーカーしか知らないエピソードで興味を引くためのアドバイス。Mさんからは、自分をネガティブに紹介するのは控えるようにとアドバイス。Tさんからは、スピーチの課題（ボディランゲージ）の活用をアドバイス。

ベスト準備スピーカーはKさん、ベストテーブルトピックスピーカーはゲストのIさん、ベスト論評者はTさんでした。今回も充実の例会でした。

The 758th meeting was held at Pio City in Sakuragi-cho and online. A total of 20 members, including 8 online participants, gathered in an open atmosphere as usual.
The first greeting was given by Mr. M, who had returned from a business trip to Qatar.
Ms. A, the Toastmaster of the Day (TMOD), is always a great speaker, and today she did an excellent job of leading the meeting in an atmosphere that made it easy for everyone to give his/her presentation. It was impressive that she expressed her joy to see everyone, as it had been a long time since she had participated in an on-site meeting.
The theme of this meeting, held in the spring when there are many encounters and partings, is “Graduation. Each participant gave a brief response on the theme of memories of graduation or what they would like to graduate from.
Mr. I presented “warm/warm” as the “Word of the Day” which is a very good word to imagine spring and our meeting. I think it was a great choice that everyone could easily use.

The first “impromptu speech session/Table Topics Session” was led by Mr. O, who is always very good at impromptu speeches with a sense of humor. First, he answered “spicy food” as today’s theme, “what I want to graduate from”. He told the audience about his experience of eating Peyoung’s “Jigoku Gekikara Yakisoba Final” (hell hot and spicy fried noodle, final version), which made the audience laugh.
The question was taken from the book “The Art of Impromptu Speech” by Tomohide Oshima. The first question was a simple one: “What is your favorite animal? to “Why did you buy a 10,000 yen loaf of bread?” “We found a 10-year-old capsule, what did you put in it?” You are a chess master and you have been defeated by an AI. What will you say to the AI?” Each member presented a 1-2 minute speech after being asked imaginative questions.

In the second session, “prepared speech session,” four participants gave speeches. The first speaker was Mr. N, who solemnly spoke about his mysterious connection with the late Mr. Shintaro Ishihara. The second speaker was Mr. I, who vividly described an episode with his English teacher “Professor Takizawa” from his school days. Third speaker was Ms. P, who spoke about “Self-learning”. Ms. S from China gave her first speech as a TM, titled “Sharing my experience in Japan,” with a lot of humor and a high-level speech structure.

The second half of the “evaluation session” was led by Mr. O. Ms. N talked about the good points and presented constructive comments on how to improve them further, Ms. A proposed in fluent English what she thought was good and suggested the Vocal variety by practicing it by herself, and Mr.T gave a excellent feedback with good organization of presentation. Ms. S explained her own analysis of how well the speeches were delivered and made some simple suggestions.
Looking back on this evaluation session, the explanations of the good points and suggestions were very clear and of a high level.
I think it was really impressive.
Presentations from each of the assigned staff members followed.
The Ah counter gave a presentation on habits that he/she was not aware of, the Grammarian gave a presentation on good expressions, and the General evaluator commented on the entire meeting in a calm atmosphere.

The impromptu speech award went to Mr. M, a guest, who dared to show respect to the AI that had defeated him and responded in a gentlemanly manner as if it were a real human being; the evaluation award went to Ms. A, who made a proposal based on her own practicing; and the prepared speech award went to Ms. P, who gave an excellent presentation based on her own experience and was supported by the members.

The meeting went very quickly. Thank you, Ms. A, for a wonderful meeting!

Lastly, TM/Magician. M, who is graduating from YTMC today due to a move, presented his idea for the launch of “Magicians Without Borders Association” and once again impressed us with the scale of his idea. Thank you for your hard work!

第758回例会は 桜木町のぴおシティ及びオンラインで開催されました。オンライン参加者8名を含む総勢20名のメンバーが集まり、いつもの様に開放的な雰囲気の中開催されました。
最初に久しぶりにカタール出張から戻ったMさんからの挨拶がありました。
Toastmaster of the Day(TMOD)のAさんはいつも素晴らしいスピーチをされる方で、本日も発表しやすい雰囲気の中、見事に会を仕切られました。オンサイトでの参加は久しぶり、ということで皆さんに会えた喜びを表現されていたのが、印象的でした。
出会いあり、別れありの春に開催される今回の例会のテーマは、「卒業」。卒業の思い出、または卒業したいもの、というテーマでそれぞれが簡単に回答しました。

Iさんから「Word of the Day/今日の言葉」として、「warm/暖かい」というまさに春と我々の例会をイメージする良い言葉が発表されました。みなさんが使いやすい素晴らしい選択だったと思います。

最初の「即興スピーチセッション/Table Topics Session」の担当はいつもユーモアを交えた即興スピーチが大得意のOさんでした。最初に本日のテーマ、「卒業したいもの」として、「辛い食品」と回答。ペヤングの「獄激辛　やきそばファイナル」を食べたエピーソードを語りメンバーの爆笑をさそいました。
質問は「即興スピーチ術　大島友秀著」からのチョイス。最初は簡単な質問「好きな動物は？」から「1万円のパンをなぜ買ったか？」「10年前のカプセルを発見、あなたはそれに何を入れていたか？」「将棋名人のあなたはAIに負けてしまった。なんとAIに話しかけるか？」など想像力を駆使する質問があり、各メンバーが1-2分のスピーチを発表しました。

次の「準備スピーチセッション/prepared speech session 」は4名が実施、Nさんは「故　石原慎太郎さんへの追悼」を自分との不思議な縁をもとに厳かに語り、Iさんは自分の学生時代の英語の師「タキザワ教授」とのエピソードを鮮明に語り、Pさんは「自己学習のプロセス」について自分の経験をもとにジェスチャーを交え堂々と語り、中国出身のSさんはTMになって最初のスピーチを「日本での経験を共有」と題して、沢山のユーモアを交えながら、初々しくも実は凄い完成度で語りました。

後半の「論評セッション/evaluation session」はOさんの素晴らしい仕切りでスタート。Nさんは良い点を語ったあとさらに良くする建設的な論評を発表、Aさんは流暢な英語で良かった点とVocal varietyについて自ら実践して見て提案、Tさんは非常に整理した形で良かった点と改良点を提案、Sさんはスピーチの進め方の旨さを独自の分析で解説、簡単な提案もありました。
今振り返っても今回の評価セッションは良かった点と提案の解説が非常にわかりやすく、レベルが高かったと思います。

各担当からの発表が続きます。
Ah counterからは自分では気づかないメンバーの癖について発表、Grammarianからは良かった表現を発表、General evaluatorは落ち着いた雰囲気で会全体の論評を実施されました。

即興スピーチ賞は、自分を打ち負かしたAIに、あえて相手を人間の様に尊敬の念を示し、紳士的な対応をしたゲストのMさん、論評部門賞は自ら実践して提案したAさん、そして準備スピーチ賞は自分の経験をもとに素晴らしいプレゼンをしメンバーの支持を得たPさんが受賞。

あっという間に会はすすみました。司会のAさん、素晴らしい会をありがとうございました！

最後に引っ越しの関係で本日YTMCを卒業するTM兼マジシャンのMさんから「国境なきマジシャン協会」の立ち上げに関する構想を発表、改めて発想のスケールの大きさに感動しました。お疲れ様でした！！
