2017年に入り、第二回目のミーティングです。テーマは「雪」。
雪が降ると予言していたのですが、当日は晴天！
でもそのおかげで、大勢のメンバーやゲストが集まりました。

ミーティングは、皆さんの雪にまつわるエピソードを交えながら進行しました。
入試に遅れてしまったり、寒い地方に住み雪かきで大変な思い出があったり、スキー、スノーボード、温泉、皆さんの楽しいエピソードをたくさん披露できたミーティングとなりました。

今回、特にチャレンジングだったのは即興のスピーチ。
TM Tがユニークな方法で進めましたが、当たった人たちは四苦八苦。
とてもよい経験になったのではないでしょうか。

スピーチは４名中、３名がパワーポイントを使用してスピーチ。もう１名もグッズを利用してスピーチ。
すべて内容だけでなく、ビジュアルも楽しめるスピーチとなりました。時代も変わってきましたね！

論評のセッションは、TM Yがおこないました。
TMODの仕切りが悪く、論評の時間が短くなってしまいました。すみません！
でも、さすがTM Yはそんな中でもうまくまとめていました。
また、論評も比較的新しいメンバーのTM Mが最優秀論評賞を受賞。これからの活躍に期待が持てます。

今回も相変わらず、アットホームで明るい雰囲気の例会でした。
TMODの機会をいただき感謝です。

TMOD I

This is the second meeting in 2017. The theme is “SNOW”. I predicted it would snow on that day but it was a fine day! Thanks for this, a lot of members and guests got together.

The meeting was held introducing their episodes regarding “SNOW”. One member’s episode was he was late for the entrance exam due to the delayed transportation by snow or some were living in the snow area and had to shovel snow for long hours! Some enjoy ski, snowboarding, hot spring, and more!

The impressive time in this meeting was Table Topic Session. TM T conducted in the very unique way but it was challenging and reanimating (←word of the day). The assigned speakers were struggling to reply to the tough questions.

At the prepared speech session, three out of four speakers used slides, and the other used some gadgets. Not only by the contents of their speeches but also visually we could enjoy them. I felt the speaking style is changing.
Due to mal-management of TMOD, the time of the evaluation session got shortened. But TM Y made a point and wrapped up very well. Sorry, Ms. General Evaluator! In this session, the relatively new member got the best. Congrats! TM M, we can expect more for his next speech.

The meeting of this time was finished in the warm and relaxing atmosphere as always so. Thanks all for making this meeting successful!

TMOD I

Theme of Meeting: #635.was “Bird”
The meeting was staerted with video “2017 YTMC Now begin”and song “Wings to Fly”

Answers of theme were

“When I was a child I imagined birds as beautiful creatures and they can fly high. But now, when I imagine about birds, the idea certainly come into my mind is “Angry Birds.” That is how Technology changed us.”

“My image about birds are simple. My image about Birds are birds”

“Before I felt they are lovely, but now sometimes I think of bird flu.”

“As for your question, I think of the Blue Jay! The Toronto Blue Jays is the baseball team from my hometown. The Blue Jay is a native bird of Ontario, Canada and I saw many of them camping as a boy scout.”

“As to the answer to the theme, my image about the bird is “Freedom, flying over the sky as you like”

“I like a swallow, as:
– It has a beautiful shape and colors, wearing black formal suites,
with white shirts and red neck tie.
– It flys and turns with very high speed like a modern fighter,
with a beautiful acute angle.
– It was loved by people, believed to be a beneficial bird.
– Swallow is the symbol mark of my college. “

“The first thing that comes to my mind is a book called ‘Jonathan Livingston Seagull (かもめのジョナサン)’, since this is probably the first English-written book I read in my life. Second comes the movie called “Birdy”, which impressed me a lot in my adolescence.”

The Workshop was “Creating the Best Club Climate ” (The Successful Club Series)
conducted by TM F. It was so benefit for members.

They were enchanting speeches and good at for new year meeting.
Evaluation session was condacted by General Evaluator: TM T.S.
TM A, TM T, TM I were shown us wonderful evaluation.
First meeting of 2017 was adjourn in successfully.

第635回例会のテーマは”Bird”でした。
例会は“2017 YTMC Now begin”の映像と、“Wings to Fly”の歌でスタートしました。

テーマ”Bird”に対する各メンバーの回答は以下のようなものでした。

「子供の頃の鳥のイメージは”空高く飛べる美しい生き物”でした。ですが今現在、鳥について想像すると、私の中では、確実に”アングリーバード”が思い浮かびます。それほどテクノロジーによって私たちは変化してきました。」

「私の鳥に対するイメージはシンプルです。私の鳥のイメージはあくまで鳥です。」

「以前は可愛らしいと思っていました。ですが今は時々”鳥インフルエンザ”を想起させます」

「鳥といえば、私は”Blue Jay（アオカケス）”を思い出します。トロント・ブルージェイズは私のホームタウンのベースボールチームなんです。Blue Jay（アオカケス）はカナダのオンタリオ州生来の鳥で、私がボーイスカウトでキャンプをしていたときにはたくさんのアオカケスを見かけました。」

「私の鳥に対するイメージは”自由～好きなように空を飛び回れる”」

「私はツバメが好きです。ツバメは美しい形と色。黒の礼服を着て白シャツに赤いネクタイ。
最新の戦闘機のように美しい鋭角で高速で旋回する姿。人々に愛され、有益な鳥だと信じられています。そしてツバメは私の大学のシンボルマークなんです。」

「鳥と言ってまず思い出すのは”かもめのジョナサン”の本です。おそらく私が初めて読んだ洋書です。次に思い出すのが”Birdy”という映画。青春時代にとても感銘を受けました。」

テーブルトピックはJさんの担当。パソコンによる自動くじ引きで回答者を指名しました。
ワークショップはM.Fさんによる「クラブのベストな雰囲気を作り出す方法」について。メンバーにとても有益な時間でした。

スピーチは３つ行われました。
川崎トーストマスターズから参加されたR.Nさんによる「Break time (休止期間)」
M.Nさんによる「象の鼻パーク」
N.Sさんによる「男と女～その違い」
いずれも魅力的で新年の例会にふさわしいスピーチでした。

論評セッションは総合論評をT.Sさんが担当しました。
Aさん、Tさん、Iさんがそれぞれ素晴らしい論評を披露してくれました。

2017年最初の例会はおかげさまで大成功のうちに閉会しました。

TMOD I

ＹＴＭＣの第633回例会は波止場会館で開かれました。
ゲストは1名で、今日のテーマは「色とりどり＆輝く～」

今日の言葉：「Ｒｅｃｔｉｆｙ」（修正する）
プレジデントＴＭ Ｉは参加者に「rectify」と言うように奨め、全員1ポイントを得ました。
さらにＴＭＯＤ ＴＭ Ｔは教育セションに入る前、準備スピーチの順序を「rectify」しました。

各役割はそれぞれの魅力付きで紹介されました。
ジョークは自然な中で生ずる笑いに包まれ、トピックはファンタスティックな魔法使いに関する質問。
4人による準備スピーチはそれぞれ力強く、笑いありの効果的な話は素晴らしかったです。
また、スピーチのプロジェクトにあった論評も感心しました。

第633回例会も楽しい学びのある例会でした。

Meeting No.633 was held at Hatoba-kaikan as regular one.
We had one guest.

This meeting theme was “Colorful and Brilliant”.
“Rectify” was Word of the Day.
Our President TM I asked us to say the word, “rectify” after
just informing the Word of the Day. So we all got one point.
TMOD by TM T needed to rectify the speech order at the Prepared
speech session before starting the educational session.

Each role taker was introduced with his/her appealing point.
For instance,“ Possitive outgoing attitude topped off with plenty of smiles!”,
“I have variety of friends, I touch them equally and they are my treasure.”
“Enjoying exquisite taste at super markets and cooking.”
So colorful and brilliant appealing points came out.

*Joke by TM I who is graceful in manner and keeps a cool head made a good laugh naturally.
Special Workshop was, “Parliamentary Procedure Basics” which is used for doing
an induction or a motion.

*Table Topic by TM N who is good at making friends with dogs and children.
Topic’s theme was “Withering Witch/Wizard”
Q1: Are you a personn who believes in supernatural things or are you a logical nad theoretical person
who never believes in any of these things ?
Q2: If you were given a magical power whatever you want by a wizard, what power would you like to have?
There were 4 questions.
All queations were fantastic and also each speaker’s answer was fantastic and amusing.

*4 Prepared Seeches were excellent and made us laugh out a lot.
A speech through a real experienced trip on business. An advanced speech talked about how to get to home
after missing the last train with dead drunk. Another advanced speech introdeced the speaker who transferred to our club and made the first speech humorously. A pseech showing the hard situation having no idea what to say.
What colorful and brilliant speeches we had ! and all speeches were powerful, energetic and marvelous !

*At the evaluation, TM H as GE entertained us by actively using the word of coloful and brilliant.
4 evaluators had done their work getting the point of objectives.
This meeting was a colorful and brilliant meeting with a lot of laugh.

TMOD T.T.

YTMC regular meeting was held in order Nov. 19th.
There were five speakers. Various topics.
Coaching, hometown tax payment, walking, marathon, and awarding.
At the Table Topics Session, of course, the topics and speeches are
better, and Table Topics Master really understand those feelings of
speakers, and kind comments were left to each.
Ah-Counter, Vote Counter, and Table Topics Master kindly took those
roles for the first time.
I beleve, many members enjoy it.

第632回の例会は、11月19日に開かれました。
五人のスピーカーにより、コーチング、ふるさと納税、ウォーキング、マラソンや、表彰など、とてもおもしろいお話を聞くことができました。
テーブルトピックスセッションでは、お題やスピーチも素敵でしたが、テーブルトピックスマスターがそれぞれのスピーチに共感し、あたたかいコメントをされていたのが印象的でした。
みなさんに楽しんでいただけたと信じています。

2016-11-05 #631 YTMC “Autumn Leave” Meeting

>Almost all the seats of the Hatoba Kaikan meeting room were filled with club members and nine guests, and two of them, one woman and one man, were inducted as new members. This meeting’s theme was “Autumn Leaves”. Places to enjoy beautiful leaves were introduced by role takers. 16 important role takers are allocated, and when any role position become vacant, a few club members swiftly and kindly raised their hands to fill the vacant position for the successful meeting.

Joke session introduced a joke regarding to Japanese homonym. Table Topic session was held with well thought Table Topic themes, 4 prepared speeches were also excellent. A speech of dishes with Vietnam pho, rice noodles, A speech talked about the influences given to audience, which will throw back to the speaker like boomerang, An advanced speech to get win-win result in the negotiation, with role play between dog lover wife and cat lover husband, And a speech explaining importance of body movements using hands, body, feet, and face.

4 prepared speech were evaluated respectively with fine evaluations. Lastly, the best table topic speaker, the best evaluator, and the best prepared speaker were announced. This meeting was covered with laughter, and was a joyful meeting, Though the time management was not well done, as planning be TMOD, myself, was not well done.

TMOD A.I.

11月5日 第631回 横浜トーストマスターズクラブ “紅葉” ミーティング

11月5日のミーティングも9人の見学者を迎え 大盛況で席はほとんど埋まってしまいました。この9名の内 男女２名の新会員の就任式も行われました。ミーティングのテーマは 秋にちなんで “紅葉” でした。各役目の皆さんから紅葉の観光地、穴場が紹介されました。ミーティングごとに16のRole が割り当てられますが 都合の悪い人がでれば何人もの方々がすぐに手を挙げて役の穴をうめて助け合います。

日本語の同音異義語をテーマにしたJoke、面白かったテーブルトピック、４人のPrepared speechも大変面白いものでした。ヴェトナムの麺 フォーの話、スピーチの力で聴衆からの反響をブーメランのように受けましょうという話、どうやって 交渉で相手と自分がWin Win の結果を得ることができるかについて 犬好きの妻と 猫好きの夫のRole Play。 Body Language がいかに大切かを手、足、胴体、顔を使って説いたspeech。

そしてそれぞれの４つのspeechにそれぞれの４つの素晴らしいEvaluation Speech がなされました、最後に投票結果で選ばれるBest Table Topic Speaker, Best Prepared Speaker, Best Evaluator が表彰されました。この日のミーティングも盛り上がり 楽しいミーティングとなりました。

第626回YTMC例会
8月20日（土）14時～16時　＠波止場会館

今回は７名のゲスト参加、そして新たにHさんとYさんが正式メンバーに加わり、
いつも以上にフレッシュな雰囲気で例会が行われました。

例会のテーマは、
“What’s your favorite weapon to beat the summer heat?”
みなさんユニークな回答でグッジョブ！（下部に掲載）

今回は特別にFさんによる「即興スピーチのコツ」のプレゼンテーションがありました。
役立つ内容もさることながら、ユーモアや動きのある魅力的なスピーチはさすがでした。
次回のインハウスコンテンストスピーチ）」なので、出場者のみなさんは是非参考にしてもらえればと思います。

準備スピーチは４名。 全員１年以内入会のフレッシュなメンバーでしたが、
ベストスピーカーのNさんはじめ、みなさん個性的で興味深いスピーチでした。

３回目のTMOD（Toast of the day: 進行役）でしたが、
今回もメンバーみなさんのご協力のありがたみを実感した例会でした。

“My favorite weapon to beat summer heat is eating cooling fruit such as watermelon
and yogurt or the combination of them.Also, I drink lots of water during summer.”

“It is to eat cooled fruits like pears, grapes or watermelon
in the room without air conditioner.”

“My favorite weapon to beat the summer heat is the Ocean.
I love to swim and I was in Shikoku recently enjoying the cool ocean in the Shima-Nami-Kaido area!”

“To keep my body cool with my portable bottle with green tea!”

“What I usually do is to go the gym and sweat a lot. In addition to the exercise, I like sweating in the sauna.
Sweating a lot and then taking a shower afterword make me refreshing.”

“My favorite provision to beat the summer heat is “ume or prum-syrup” that I make late June every year.
The whole process of making the syrop is so much fun and it starts from picking riped prums from the yard.
During the process, the soothing sweet-sour scent fills the kitchen and it makes me so happy.
As soon as I come home worn out by the severe summer heat outside,
I rush to the frigde and drink a glass of prum juice. Then I come to life.
I cannot live without it in high summer.”
