On Saturday, May 23, Yokohama was once again crowded with many tourists
enjoying the weekend atmosphere.
In such a lively Yokohama, a Toastmasters meeting was held at the Yokohama
Port Opening Memorial Hall, and we were able to spend another enjoyable time
together.

The meeting started with an induction ceremony, where Mr. I officially joined our
club as a new member.
Welcome to Yokohama Toastmasters, Mr. I!
The TMOD for the day was Ms. T, who has contributed to our club for many
years. The meeting began with her gentle and elegant style of moderation. Her
opening question to the members was: “What does May blues mean to you             ?”
As usual, the meeting began with the Table Topics Speech Session. The
session master for the day was Ms. I, who prepared the following unique
questions for the members:
 What do you do when you wake up but don’t want to work?
 What food makes you energized?
 What would you say to someone who has May blues?
 What is your personal medicine when you feel tired?
 Do you have any tips to take care of your body or mind during the rainy
season?
Thank you, Ms. I, for the interesting questions!
The next session was the Prepared Speech Session. Four unique members
delivered the following wonderful speeches.

The first speaker was the talented Ms. Y. She talked about her mother’s
childhood experiences, including stories related to the GHQ, giving us a strong
sense of history.
The second speaker, Mr. K, introduced his “Carp Catching Master” skills with
photos, skillfully connecting the topic to his own leadership experiences.
The third speaker, Mr. N, humorously shared his personal experience during a
medical checkup, successfully gaining empathy and laughter from the
members.
The final speaker was also Mr. N, who entertained us with a mysterious story
about “Kokkuri-san” (similar to a Ouija board), allowing the members to enjoy its
strange and fascinating world.

After the break, each speaker received valuable evaluations from fellow
members, making the meeting highly educational and inspiring.

We were also happy to welcome guests again today, and the Yokohama
Toastmasters meeting ended successfully.
