トーストマスターズでは毎年春と秋にコンテストが開催されますが、
秋のコンテストは毎回テーマが定められているのが特徴です。
今回のコンテストのテーマは「テーブルトピックコンテスト」！
出場者全員、同じトピックをその場で出題され、
即興で1～2分半のスピーチを披露するという、非常にスリリングなコンテストです。
そんな中、YTMCでは
英語コンテストに11名、日本語コンテストに5名という多くの出場者が揃い、
会場には合計39名！（うち、ゲスト13名）の方々が集まってくださいました。
英語コンテストのお題は
「東京オリンピックを楽しむために、私たちにできることは？」
日本語コンテストのお題は
「毎年大河ドラマが話題になっていますが、
あなたが歴史上の人物に会えるなら、どなたに会いたいですか？」
※YTMCは英語クラブですが、コンテストのときのみ日本語スピーチ披露の場があります。

コンテストでは一人ひとり控え室から会場に呼ばれ、その場で出題されます。
テーブルトピックコンテストの面白いところは、
同じお題でも、コンテストによってスピーチ内容が多種多様なところです。
これまでの経験、考え方、趣味など、皆さんの個性が反映されたスピーチに会場全体が魅了されました。
またFさんによる、まるでミニテーブルトピック！？な英語インタビュー、
そして最後の表彰式を経て、コンテストは大盛況のうちに幕を閉じました。

インハウスコンテストの次は、エリアコンテストです。
YTMCからはAさん・Tさんが、英語・日本語両コンテストに出場されます。
YTMCの皆さんはぜひふたりの応援＆コンテストサポートに、
ゲストの皆さまはぜひ各クラブから選出された精鋭たちのスピーチを聞きに、
9月17日（土）は波止場会館5Fで開催されるエリアコンテストへ！！

YTMC in-house contest was held on Sep 3rd, and the contest was Table topics contest.
Table Topics contest is the thrilling contest. Contestants deliver the impromptu speech beside same topic, and they don’t know the topic until their turn come.
We had 11 English contestants, and 5 Japanese contestants.
There were 39 people including 13 guests in the room. It was brilliant!
The topic of English contest was
“What can we do to enjoy Tokyo Olympic?”
The topic of Japanese contest was
“If you can meet the historical person, who would you like to meet?”
The highlight of the Table topics contest was the differences of speeches for same topic.
All speeches were reflected speakers’ experiences and personalities!
Another pleasure of the contest was interview time!
The special interview presented by TM.F was like a mini – Table topics contest.
All role takers, contestants and guests, thank you so much for your warm supports!
We’ll have Area 54 contest on Sep 17th at Hatoba-kaikan 5F, and it must be exciting.
Let’s go to the Area 54 contest to cheer up our representatives TM.A and TM.T!
